1. Bing Rewards

Take a good look at Google Search because you’re never going to see it again. Your new internet companion is Bing. I’ve been using Bing for several years. I can testify that it’s just as good as Google for every day purposes and I search the web at least 40 to 50 times per day if not more. But more importantly, Bing rewards you if you use it enough. With your Microsoft account, you can enroll in the Bing Rewards program (totally free) to start collecting points as you search. You get one point for every two searches, up to 15 points per day from your computer and up to 10 per day from your phone. (That’s right, change your search engine there too.) You can also complete a quick search quiz every day to earn an additional three points and complete other minor tasks for bonuses. To sign up for Bing Rewards, go to bing.com and sign in with your Microsoft account on the top right. Once you’re signed in, click the rewards icon immediately next to it and click Join Bing Rewards. To redeem your accumulated points, click the rewards icon yet again in the top right corner of Bing and then click the Bing Rewards header. Click the blue Redeem button and then Confirm and order my reward once your account and delivery information is setup. (The gift card arrives via email.)

Swagbucks

Swagbucks is yet another service that lets you earn points much in the same way as Bing Rewards, except Swagbucks has a much larger variety of activities to complete. It also has far more prizes. If you want you could perform web searches through Swagbucks, an easy and convenient way to mindlessly earn points, but many other options are on the table. You can play sponsored games, take quizzes, shop through various affiliated websites, watch videos and more. Every activity earns you points to a varying degree, usually anywhere from one to three per completed task. The fastest way I could find to earn a free gift with minimal effort is by signing up for an Audible subscription for only $1. When you sign up through Swagbucks for one month, you immediately earn 800 points — that’s good enough for one $5 gift card and one $3 gift card. The way I see it, I got a $7 gift card for free. Plus you earn even more points if you keep your subscription. Just search for Audible in the Shop section. Click the prize you want, then click the green Snag This! button and fill out your information to receive it.
