Most third-party apps today let you add custom music to videos. And if you install the right one, you might also find some royalty-free music to add to your Instagram videos. Cool, right? So, if you are looking for cool free apps to add music to Instagram videos, here are some of the best Android apps. Let’s begin.

1. FilmoraGo

If you are looking for a simple app that lets you add music to Instagram videos, the FilmoraGo app is the one for you. It’s a bit old, but it has all the essential features that you would want on a video editor. Now, talking about its music library, thankfully it doesn’t disappoint. If you get bored with the presets, you can also download a couple of additional tunes. Or, you can add music from your collection. The good thing about FilmoraGo is that it keeps things sweet and simple. I love the absolutely clutter-free interface and the clever design. Download FilmoraGo

2. Quik

If you do not want to spend too much time deciding on the type of music for the video, Quik is the app for you. It bundles several cool transitions, fonts, and music, which is enough to make a video stand out. Using the app is as easy as a walk in the park. You need to select from one of the available presets, and if you are fine with the music and transition, you are all sorted. Quik also bundles many customization options. For instance, you can mute the original audio of the video. Or you can play by combining different transition effects and music. What I usually do is select the music of the video first by tapping on the little music icon. After selecting a tune, I select the transition that sits well with the video, customize the rest, and then save it. Quik also lets you add music tracks from your collection. Download Quik

3. InShot

By far, InShot has been one of the favorite video apps to date. I love the fact I can edit a video right from my phone without sacrificing on the quality. There’s an option to tweak the color of the video. Secondly, you can place stickers, watermarks, text labels, and other such elements in the timeline. That said, you can also trim the video, mute the original volume, change the frame or speed the video. More importantly, there are several free music tracks that you can use. You just have to tap on the Music icon > Tracks, and all the options will be there for you to see. However, the free version of InShot has ads. To remove them, you can upgrade to the paid version. On the upside, the watermark is removable if you watch an ad for a few seconds. Note: To make a video look peppy, you can download ringtones and add them as soundtracks. Download InShot

4. VideoShow

Another excellent app that lets you add music to videos is VideoShow. It’s a feature-rich app lets you add music to video, and experiment with different music effects, themes, and quirky video transitions. The interface is simple, though I would not call it a clutter-free. Due to the many options, the interface appears a bit crowded. Unlike InShot which has only a few music albums, VideoShow bundles a horde of tracks. And trust me, I am not joking. And the story doesn’t end there. The music is segregated into genres. This simple feature makes it easy to search for music. So no more tapping on every track to see if it suits the video at hand. There are other options like trimming and playing with the original color of the video. This app is free to download and use. Download VideoShow

5. VivaVideo

If VivaShow seems a bit cluttered to you, you should try out VivaVideo (see VideoShow vs. VivaVideo). This video editing tool is mostly similar to VideoShow. However, the options and features are arranged in an aesthetically pleasing way. That gives it an advantage over other similar apps. Other than that, the options for music are mostly similar. From classic tunes to popular tunes, you will find everything here. To add a music track to your video, tap on the Music button, and the app will guide you through the rest. VivaVideo (and even VivaShow) lets you add your voiceovers, a concept which I particularly like. And the good thing is that you can tweak the position of the soundtrack on the timeline. Like its counterpart above, this video editing app also places a watermark at the lower-right corner. To remove it you will have to upgrade to the paid version. Download VivaVideo

6. Adobe Premiere Rush

Adobe Premiere Rush is for those who are looking for an app with a polished interface. This open also bundles a few nifty features like templates, audio mixing, and AI-powered audio clean up. However, when it comes to music, you will have to upload tracks from your collection. On the upside, the neat transitions and the different options for audio, make this app a must-have. Download Adobe Premiere Rush

Bonus App: Vimeo Create

If you are looking for quirky effects, great tracks, and the likes, you can check out Vimeo Create. This is a freemium app that comes with an excellent music collection. The one big limitation is that you can’t save the video file to your phone’s gallery directly. For that, you will have to upgrade to the paid version, which costs around $27 per month.

Please Don’t Stop the Music

No video is complete without a peppy soundtrack. Be it a video is incomplete without sound. So, which app will you get? As I mentioned above, I like InShot, particularly for its interface. However, I am open to trying out VivaVideo as well as Quick more often for our Instagram videos.
