But, don’t we all agree that playing puzzle games lights up a certain dark corner of our brains? I love puzzles and getting me hooked into one is just so easy. And if that’s true for you as well, let’s browse through this fantastic list of Android puzzle games that would surely take your brain for a ride!

1. Tricky Test 2™: Genius Brain

A game with a rating of 4.8 on the Play Store is likely to have something unassumingly smart. And Tricky Test lives up to it. It’s fun and it’s addictive and as I said before, unassumingly smart! Initially, it would throw in lucid questions, but just when you start getting comfortable with it, it would throw an absurd teaser with an equally absurd solution. It doesn’t have any obstructive ads. However, you will have to deal with the ad banner at the bottom.

2. CrossMe Nonograms

CrossMe Nonograms is the Japanese Sudoku but with pictures. In this mind-boggling game, you need to fill in the grid cells according to the numbers at the side of the grid. Getting started is a bit complex, however, if you have played Nonograms before then this shouldn’t be that difficult. The drill is if the numbers are filled up correctly it would reveal a picture at the end. The game has an extensive collection of puzzles, and if you are a Nonograms lover, then you’re gonna love the phone version too.

3. Brain It On! – Physics Puzzles

Brain It On is a brilliantly structured game that you wouldn’t want to leave for a moment. It involves challenges and puzzles that will leave you scratching your head. You would be required to draw shapes in the particular area, to set things into motion. It can be something as simple as overturning a glass or as hard as launching a ball to the other wall, without touching anything in between. This seemingly nonsensical game wastes no time in getting you hooked. One of my favorites and, to my boss’ chagrin, the main cause of my work missing deadlines (I end up playing hours on end!).

4. Brain Dots

Brain Dots is the not-so-simple cousin of Brain It On. You will be given the task of bumping two dots against each other. How, you ask? Well, by drawing shapes on a canvas of course! Let your imagination run wild as you ponder options to make the two dots meet (don’t laugh at the shape of my silly see-saw). Coins can be collected based the performance and the more you progress, the more drawing materials you will be able to collect. It’s a funnily satisfying game, and you would want to play more. My only grumbling point is the obstructive ads that come up in between the games.

5. Skillz – Logical Brain Game

If you want a game that will both entertain and train your reflexes, then get ready to fall in love with Skillz. The goal of the game is to complete the puzzle levels and collect stars. These stars can be used to unlock further levels. But you will also have to be super quick and if you are too slow, the game’s over. And mind you, no two levels are similar. If one asks you to find one particular number in a sea of like numbers, the other may completely vary and might ask you to match unique cards. Skillz has a separate playing mode for the color-blind, which is neat.

Let your passive brain come to full form with this amazing word game, called Word Search. In this one, you are asked to find words hidden in a grid of letters. Well, if that’s too simple for you, why not go a step higher. And trust me, it’s a hell of a task when you are asked to find a word that starts in any direction but from left to right! If you are a lover of word games, you will find this as an amazing replacement to fill in during your spare times. The interface is fairly basic, and once you learn to pick up the reins, you will end up playing for hours.

7. Math Master

2+(-8)=?

For few of us, the above math equation is fairly simple. But if you are one who depends heavily on calculators then you probably take more time than usual to solve even the simplest of equations (like the one above). Want an easy solution? Try the Math Master game. This game has a wide range of uncomplicated math puzzles that are bound to light up your calculative brain. The only downside is it doesn’t have a built-in game timer.

Up for the Challenge?

So, don’t slumber in your boredom, give a boost to your machine with these amazing games. If Jack were born in this age of smartphones then the saying would go ‘all work and no mobile gaming makes Jack a dull boy.’ You don’t want to be a dull boy (or girl), do you?
