I hadn’t tested Microsoft’s latest Internet Explorer version (IE 9 Beta) yet, so I decided to use Spoon to give it a shot. That way, I didn’t have to uninstall IE 8. So, assuming you followed the steps to install the Spoon plugin mentioned in our previous article, we’ll jump directly to Spoon’s App Library.
Click on “Browsers” in the App Library.
Under the Spoon Browser Sandbox, you’ll find big thumbnails of different Internet Explorer versions. Click on the one that says Internet Explorer 9 Beta.
It directs us to the familiar Start Now page of the app. Click on Start Now.
And, after a few moments of buffering and all, I got the IE 9 Beta up and running. As you see in the screenshot below, I am running IE 9 Beta and IE 8 simultaneously, without any inconvenience.
In case you face a problem in getting IE 9 Beta started and it doesn’t open at the first go, you could type Spoon in your start search bar and click on the Sandbox manager. It should start after you do that.
