From the right-click context menu, select the option View connection properties. Step 2: In the Wireless Network Properties window open the security tab and click on Advanced Settings. Step 3: In Advanced Settings open the 802.1x tab and see if User Authentication is selected under Specify authentication mode. If that’s not the case, select it from the drop-down control and click on the button Replace credentials. Step 4: Enter the network credentials when you are prompted and save the settings. If you are using your Windows logon credentials for the network, use the respective option in the drop-down. After you save the settings, Windows will force-disconnect you from the network if you were already connected to it. The next time you try to connect to the network, Windows will not ask you for the credentials and automatically use the one that’s already saved. Windows will automatically connect to the network after waking up from sleep if you have configured the network to connect automatically when in range.
