Yes, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will succeed the infamous exploding Galaxy Note 7 which cost the company millions of bucks and their reputation too. Since Samsung just launched their flagship S8 and S8+ devices and know where all they went wrong — especially the fingerprint scanner — we’re hoping they rectify their mistakes. In the meantime, let’s look at some of the most relevant rumours surrounding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

Bigger and Better Display

Since the Galaxy Note has always been the bigger cousin of their flagship Galaxy S devices, it’ll probably share the same 6.2-inch screen size as the S8+ or maybe even bigger and might come with a 4k screen resolution. The screen of the upcoming Note device is tipped to be pressure sensitive — similar to the 3D Touch which was first seen on the iPhone 6s — and might house the fingerprint sensor below the home button.

Bixby Will be Ready

Samsung’s own personal assistant AI unit Bixby, which was launched alongside its Galaxy S8 devices isn’t yet fully functional and fails in its bid to compete with the likes of Google Assistant or Siri. But Samsung had earlier confirmed that Bixby will be ready in a few months time and so we can safely say that the Galaxy Note 8 will sport a fully-functional Bixby out-of-the-box.

Batteries Won’t Explode

After the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, Samsung ensured the world that they’re taking additional precautions to avoid the same in the future and so they came up with the eight-point battery test which will ensure that the new Samsung devices don’t face the same fate.

Release Date

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is being tipped to be launched in August if the company decides to follow the same release cycle. Otherwise, there have been reports that the maximum delay would lead to a September release in case Samsung plans to go head-to-head with the release of Apple’s 10th Anniversary iPhone.

Dual Camera Unit

Since the company has released the Samsung Galaxy S8 with a dual-lens rear camera unit, it’s expected that the company will do the same with the Galaxy Note 8. Except, we still wish they would consider relocating the fingerprint scanner. The above article may contain affiliate links which help support Guiding Tech.
